I have the Hub - so naive as I'm just - bought and realized that the bushes are too close together. The Smargos are slightly thicker and if one side by side put them directly into the hub, it may happen that the two outer break by the pressure of the inner path.
The USB hub I use the time on the Dreambox DM800 (see photos above). Thanks to the included AC adapter It also provides enough power for the additional connected DVD-RW drive, the so well with the DM800 prima blends (runs DVD burner without additional power supply is not in the DM800!). I currently have "only" four Smargos at the Hub ... namely in jack 1, 3, 5 and 7. In jack 4 puts the power to the DVD burner and in socket 6 plugged the data cable of the burner.
I, however, still need a Smargo, coming soon the king 7-Port to where 5 ports are at a sufficient distance for the Smargos available and 2 more on the back of the burner and its power supply.
But from an operational standpoint, we can recommend the D-Link hub thoroughly! It provides enough power through the included AC adapter for all devices that need to get power over USB (also 2.5 "hard drives, etc.)
