(+++ UPDATE 2 03/22/2015
We have retained the machine. You still stinks when washing at higher temperatures - but the wash performance is actually extremely good and the program selection very convenient. That's why I upgraded the rating to 3 stars.
Theoretically, I would give 2.5, but that is not possible here.
However, I would recommend anyone to buy this machine if you must stand in a bath in which you reside longer and regularly. Could not we have are in a separate compartment with lockable door and powerful ventilation, we could use the (during the wash cycles occurring) smell of burning rubber not bear. We hope that it will gradually disappear - he has become somewhat weaker after washing more than 100 hours. At least he does not go over to the laundry. +++)
(+++ UPDATE 1 05.03.2015
Even now, umpteen washes later, the penetrating smell of burning rubber was not given. We see the thing a few more days at - should have done nothing so far, the machine goes back. +++)
-------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------
Yesterday morning, the washing machine was (not through Amazon but Otto) delivered, professionally drawn up by two suppliers, connected and put into operation.
We talked to the manufacturer's instructions and sent them before the first wash with clothes initially empty and without detergent to go through "60 ° C cotton". (The cycle lasts default three hours.)
Now, 12 hours later washing:
(- Thanks to the Silent function they can also be run at night leave)
The machine emits a so intense and pungent smell of burning rubber, that you have to leave the door of the chamber in which it stands, despite permanently activated and powerful ventilation, closed. (It was fortunate that the machine is not in the bathroom.)
Brand new, premium bedding made from organic cotton (white in color / light beige) has now after washing million tiny, black fuzz on. Whether it is dissolved rubber ...? (The smell suggests this assumption.)
In our old Bosch washing machine (which was test winner at Stiftung Warentest five years ago), the start-up was totally different from. It smelled nothing, and bright laundry remained bright and lint.
(We decided because of the patented honeycomb drum for expensive Miele, and never expected to Maschiene the criterion of laundry Skåne worse than met the then good 550 euros cheaper Bosch.)
It may be that we caught a Monday device (?) - But I am more than disappointed and annoyed at having ignored the other negative reviews.
Probably in 2015 in view of the production methods, the manufacturing tolerances even when expensive equipment is significantly higher than it was 23-50 years ago.
We'll see what the customer says on Monday on the matter.
(The machine itself can of course be 'easily' return - easily, if one disregards all expenses.)
Really annoying is the fact that the brand new bedding has been damaged.
Before now comes the remark that it was too optimistic, to put brand new bedding in a brand new machine ... it was not now the 150, - Euro-China deals by e-market next door.
In my personal opinion, one should, in fact may provide for a device of +/- 1000 Euro the "luxury" to be a little optimistic.
Since my grandmother was her life completely satisfied with Miele washing machines I expected / hoped that the trend would continue with us ... too bad that it is not so.
