**** Chic, fast & convenient. Coffee could be hotter and the "metallic silver" has no stainless steel finish
After my Philips Senseo had given the service in black after a few years, a new device was needed, this time in silver metallic.
The delivery took place within 48 hours, and the unit was well and securely packed.
The silver metallic looks quite chic, but has no stainless steel look, but also looks out the corner of his eye and a distance like light plastic what it is, too.
The black device worked as noble, but that's a matter of taste.
The lighter color, the device appears visually slightly larger and bulkier than the black.
The here criticized in several reviews plastic taste I have not found.
The unit was hot washed before the first operation with Spüli and once flushed with one liter of water, as it is also in the operating instructions and in new equipment anyway is common; then there should be no problems since.
Practically, I find that Philips has not outwardly changed the unit in several years, so I could keep my old unit defective water tank, pad holder and use as emergency spare parts for the new machine.
For the here criticized several times not height-adjustable spout is to be noted that even large Kaffeepötte of up to 10 cm height easily fit under the sink until they incline or having to remove the plug.
Since I have found no unsightly syringes with smaller cups, the height-adjustable spout is absolutely dispensable for me.
Operation and cleaning are as usual simple, fast and convenient.
The coffee gets a nice crema.
Which pads a taste satisfied most, of course everyone has to find out for yourself, there are now many varieties in different, also reasonable price points.
Tiny flaw in addition to some "cheap" look is that the coffee could be hotter.
For those who drink their coffee black, this may not be a problem, the coffee has then stop immediately serving temperature.
But if you like me drinking coffee with milk and was otherwise accustomed to the milk brings the hot coffee in a pleasant drinking temperature, you have here a few degrees less set.
That's why I prefer from a star.
Nevertheless, the Philips Senseo is a chic and convenient device for singles or households where indeed happy, but can not as coffee is drunk.

So far so then my first impression regarding the machine.
After more than a year not even excessive use and despite careful maintenance inclusive regular descaling the machine broke.
Since it was a warranty damage, Philips has been contacted and the unit should be returned.
There were already problems:
Those of us carefully packed machine came with no padding just in a cardboard box thrown to the wrong address returned, although in the telephone consultation multiply the address was matched, and this was also repeatedly clearly indicated on the packaging and the documentation.
Our submission was a copy of the delivery note will be attached to, but because the owner of the machine has no printer and no copying possibility and wanted to settle the matter quickly, it has to also thorough consultation with the service, the original attached and this clearly marked as such with the request to return.
Nevertheless, the appearance of totally inadequate packed machine when returning was not attached and was loud again telephonic inquiry not even find.
A repair bill stating what was broken now and has been repaired, was not.
After the machine was working again - unerringly until shortly after the remaining warranty.
Of course, then there can be give a claim, but you should at least agree to the service and easily replace it.
Polls in the circle and in appropriate forums have shown that it at Philips coffeemakers now probably more the rule than the exception that there are problems at an early stage already and the equipment, if at all, just survive the warranty period.
Our next coffee will therefore be from another manufacturer.
