I've gained a new TV for my cellar. The music and video facility is located in the right rear corner and the TV is hung centrally on the front wall. A distance of 10m with an HDMI cable between the Receiver and the Blu-ray player and the television is to be bridged. With my old TV (Toshiba 32 inch) was the picture in spite of the long cable always excellent. However, my new Samsung UE55F6170 did not want to represent the image of the Blu-ray player. There were deutlche synchronization problems. (Image disappeared, jerky playback, etc.) This, however, only when playing BluRays. The menu was the image sent directly from the player arrived at properly and was also given so again. After hours of experiments by changing the settings on the player to fix the problem I gave up and bought the Ligawo HDMI Amplifier with fitting power unit. After another several attempts I have now again a distortion free picture of my player. It turned out that I'm getting no improvement when I use the amplifier between the player and HDMI cable to the beginning of the transmission path. He works for me only as an amplifier behind the long cable in front of the TV but there very well.
