(+/-) A quick reference guide that I think after a few measurements of unhelpful, is in the form with a small Folders. It would have been helpful if from this manual and the adjusted emissivity would emerge for different surfaces.

***** Function "thermal bridges measurement": This (simple terms) is a combination of space, surface temperature and moisture interpreted to produce a result which is understandable for laymen. Green = everything ok ". Red = Huston, we have a problem!"
Measurements should be, in my experience the safe side under different conditions (heated / unheated room or morning / evening) performed.
As far as I was able to try the 2 buildings (in which the values have been measured by reliable sources that!) Are the measured values reliably. In these cases it came to tracking down heat bridges. In one case, it already came to mold growth, in the other case, it is a construction mistake, the newer type. (Conversion of the winter garden - exterior wall corners poorly insulated, or incorrect materials ... because I'm not an expert.) Have measured we - as mentioned - two times, to different conditions.
***** Function "Temperature measurement" on walls - reliable (prerequisite, emissivity can be determined and is on the device properly chosen):
I measured with a (verified) surface temperature sensor against and receive variations in the range of less than ± 1 ° C (which is the inaccuracy, specified by the manufacturer). Therefore, from my side nothing to complain about.
***** Function "Humidity"
Measurement of humidity is possible, but since I possess no meter which is more accurate than this one - would be any comparison meaningless. With my average Joe Moisture knives values coincide largely.
(+/-) Operating - inputting measurement conditions - reflectance - surfaces or emissivity groups.
(-) Packaging: Who this hard / tough blister packaging has come up, should be punished by the equipment on site - one for one, and for every customer! - Unpack. Plaintext: The risk of injury is immense. I'm with care, but added with a bit of anger gone off the new device from the blister packaging to solve --- and had an average contracted me on the left forearm, as the packaging has jumped when opening / torn. It may sound odd, but that's in my case, the only reason for the point deduction.
Important because DANGEROUS! A small yellow sticker with the warning that it is 2 device is a laser class, the supply is (rather many such labels, but in different languages). This one should not neglect to attach to the unit.
The warning is more than appropriate: We must direct the laser measuring radiation NOT eyes of humans or animals!
Why do I personally need is more or less just to track down to thermal bridges in future potential rental properties. In this respect one can - not officially capable - the landlord now have that in a space not just improper ventilation (* 1) is responsible for the formation of mold on an outside wall corner, but a thermal bridge (structural failure, if you will ). Thus one has indeed won anything once, but I think it is important these eternal "The tenant has aired false!" - To create discussion out of the way.
For future reference: Visits I have this handy device in your pocket and can decide from the outset whether thermal bridges are present. This is precisely what it is dear to me. In addition, you can borrow as a purchase and friends or even within the family, or help to offer (to see them again!).
I have so far only used for measurements on wallpapered walls. Therefore can not comment on measurements on other surfaces. It has in any case to choose a way between different absorbing materials on which you want to carry out measurements.

... The packaging experts of BOSCH I would strongly recommend to change the homicidal plastic clutter in a customer and environmentally friendly alternative.
