The classic with proven technology!

After a few years ago our old Krups coffee maker, the model with the rod handle, after 15 years gave up the ghost, we first decided on a egg cooker, in which does not control the amount of water, but the cooking time by using a dial.
First, the device with stainless steel housing looked after some time of no longer beautiful. Because the water does not evaporate in such a kettle and there is no discharge, so that the broth flowed in pouring always on the rounded edge of the outside down. In addition, we did not make it in one year, to find a setting, the Umit permanently an egg with egg white and soft yolk strength lies cook.

Therefore, we decided to return to the time-honored technique to fall back.
And what I have to say - it works as always:
Standard-size eggs M to cook best with the amount of water indicated in the measuring cup, in L-eggs you just take as much water as two eggs less.

For the coating: The old boiler had a cooking surface made of ceramic with a, I'll call it "kind of coating", but eventually more or less disappeared. Over the years the equipment was always unsightly.

The new devices have a hot plate with a Teflon non-stick coating. This and the plastic, can be very good with vinegar moistened (not wet) paper towel of limescale free. Once an egg bursts and this caking, short soak with a little detergent and wipe with a soft cloth - do not use tools such as scrapers and kitchen The unit also looks after nearly 3 years as new and good cooks eggs.

But "real" German products have their quirks and break. And "German" company, even if they can be produced in China or other "low cost countries", have high quality standards.
