Graphics are good and detailed, because I want to complain about nothing great, the adjustability extensive and a benchmark for the optimal settings gibts inclusive.
Only a decent damage model of vehicles will miss some people.
The sound is usable, but nothing special. Music almost always annoying and I alternate if possible usually from. The noise seemingly carelessly started only fulfill its purpose. In communities of some simulations I know really loving and high quality sound models for vehicles, crew and Box. Here at F1 lost a lot of atmosphere.
Let's talk about the setting options for the control: Despite steering wheel connected the game starts with me always default in the keyboard mode. I have to put on each wheel again. It's annoying, but bearable. (Incidentally, this is suppressible if you press to start the game a steering wheel button.) The individual Reglerchen are concise, but do their most necessary function. A rash beams to controller the analog control elements such as steering angle, accelerator, brake does not exist and would be here more than helpful been.
In the game is not to determine whether the gas or brake actually react analogously - there is hardly an easy to dispense position between full throttle and nothing. This also applies to the brake. Both my pedal set (G25 / T500 RS) react to me when driving clumsy and unbalanced. DRS reacts sometimes funny. It is quite possible with DRS to go through the corners, as if it were disabled.
Concerned now to continue with the Force Feedback, but one wonders quite surprised at what the manufacturer has been thinking. One looks in vain for the options to fine-tune various effects. This would not be necessary if it were to react appropriately in the game Force Feedback. I see here consciously with the FFB support of the 6th year older GTR2 that is fun. The steering wheel, however, feels in F1 2011, as the first steps of FFB. After many many attempts I could find one for me halfway usable but still getting used settings with the trarigen Erkenntnist: Force Feedback here is a disaster - Whether G25 or T500 RS. It is well designed more for controller gamers. OK, that need to know times just before buying.
Then of course, the driving physics seem to be designed, which seems to respond manchmel more than questionable. This may certainly be related to my difficulties that I have in connection with the control and its setting. The setups show hardly noticeable driving differences, as we know it in simulations like GTR (2), GTL.
Were not the graphics, I would absolutely denote F1 2011 as technically out of date at a higher level.
KI is questionable. I drive 30 minutes and will once overtaken in training does not, although the AI moves faster times. Differences between full and almost empty tank not there. I feel the AI know a shortcut, or I'll go somewhere a ;-) a detour. The driving behavior is strange: we will go stubborn ideal line and block, sometimes they are unpredictable, aggressive or go zig zag.
Last point, the regulations apply to me in future as KO criterion for such games is the strictly necessary Windows Live account. Registration is annoying and only once, a passing (away or sale) of the game is not possible. The ID can register no more. This also applies when slaked Win Live Account. In the case states that the wars! Serious Driving without an online connection can be forgotten, because the profile can not be loaded and you will therefore totally bounded. Here the user consciously tied (tied) is. The paranoid fear of manufacturers against counterfeiting curtailing honest buyers to a Unnutzbarkeit of purchased items. There is technically no need to have to save the profile online. There are also technically no need to have to get a permanent Internet connection alive.
Many errors already described here, I can not reproduce and confirm after a short time - they are not an isolated case and I go not elaborate. Mir is it simply because with this review to warn other drivers Sim about to ask to have high expectations of this power plant by Codemasters. One has to be a clear: No simulation. My mistake - my expectations were wrong.
The ride can clear the older games such as GTL, GTR (2), rFactor not hold a candle and the F3000 class in GTR Evo makes a lot more fun than what Codemasters has delivered here.
The support from Codemasters is really very fast, but unfortunately completely helpless. Mass treatment with predefined answers bring no support and for a specific problem has no solution. Furthermore, is often not dealt with the request, but generally ignored.
Well, what are we supposed to write? I am going to continue to wait for a modern racing game (GT or F1), a worthy successor of the older racing games GTL, GTR (2), rFactor, etc., as well, that manufacturers finally adopt a customer-friendly copy protection. Blötsinnige more costly gimmicks can be replaced by a sensible use of a hardware dongle.
For non-sim driver I think this game is worth your while and brings playful the same fun as the NFS series. F1 2011 can prepare quite fun certainly, if one belongs to the respective target group. I, however, do not count this and hope to have helped herewith.
