Now that GigaBlue since four weeks doing its job, I would draw a short conclusion here. After the decision for new acquisition had fallen, it was to find the right device. Should be replaced a twin tuner model with built-in hard drive, which still worked perfectly but every now and with missing EPG data bugged. In shortlisted managed 4 devices: Vu + SOLO2, Xtrend Et8000, Golden Interstar Xpeed LX3 and loving the Quad Plus. All devices have similar specifications and features. The decision in favor of Quad Plus therefore fell mainly for aesthetic reasons. The Solo2 is advised but quite small and looked at the assigned place something lost. The Xtrend existed only in silver - an absolute no go. On LX3 bothered me the look somewhat. So now the Quad Plus was procured, delivery always very fast. The already existing hard disk (2.5-inch) could be installed without any problems, all required cables are included. I was surprised when connected to the TV, a usable channel list (sorting) already existed. The installed software has been pretty up to date, and the Sky Card has been accepted without hesitation - in Linux boxes not a foregone conclusion. The switching times are good, and the picture quality is very good. The Fernbedinung I get super clear, you do not exactly aim, but the feel is a matter of taste. The display on the front is a good size and can be easily read even from a distance of 3m. Recordings previously functioned without problems. As a result of the many options of Linux boxes also can quickly make mistakes I empehle this box only someone who had experience with Linux (Enigma) has receivers or really want to deal with it. Just plug Box namely TV works fine, "challenged" but this device. With the right plugins the appearance of menus and range of functions to suit all tastes can be customized. From me so full 5 stars and a buy recommendation for this great box.
