Anyone who has read Karen Blixen-Africa, alluring dark world and thrilled and entranced was who will have looked also Sindey Pollack film adaptation of the substance with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford; and was there just as blown away as in the enjoyment of the book. Except Redford and Streep, the film had a third actor: the music. John Barry soundtrack to the film is as unique as beautiful. Once heard he goes for a year is not out of my head. If one believes that this music only works in unison with exuberant images of fascinating landscapes, one is mistaken. Barry's compositions stand alone.
