Caveat:
I have alluded only a few hours and am still with Bones at the coast crab (an island should never remain unexplored even in the smallest!)
Graphics:
Granted is now graphically more feasible, but seriously: Neither Gothic 1, Gothic 2 or Risen 1 has bought because of the graphics and Piranha Bytes speaks to a different audience than those where the video is more important than playful depth. I feel so far the graphics as well, let's see if it stays that way in the further course.
Shortcoming in the image of:
I have the resolution to 1920 * 1080 running, as in all other games and my desktop also still fills the displayed image my 24 "monitor from not and I have black edges, which I could not resolve so far about the settings. I hope that I somehow get this under control the gameplay it does not bother, I use just like my entire screen UPDATE:.. It was the Under Scan Thanks for the help :-)!
Game control:
The controller is nothing new, and I feel as okay to good. I also think that it is easy for beginners to learn and does not cause great frustration for beginners. When fighting newcomers need to know that you have to do more than just press the left mouse button, it is not now time to a Hack'n'Slay such. As in Diablo 1 (for the successor, I do not want to speak because I've never played this).
Sound:
So far, I feel the background music as successful. The music at the main menu reminds me a little of Game of Thrones, but anything but bother me ;-)
Setting:
Supposedly the pirate setting is even more soft in the background, what I can not confirm yet. However, I found it at Risen 2 does not interfere, even if I'm a fan of the main characters in armor in medieval-influenced environment more.
Note for system resources:
As a small clue for those who worry about how far their system is sufficient, I can say that it is at a resolution of 1920 * 1080, 16x anisotropic filtering and all settings set to "Ultra" or "High" where I no "Ultra" is set in a system with 12GB of RAM, AMD HD6950 with 2GB memory and an Intel i7-2600K (not overclocked) absolutely smooth running and the load times are fast.
Why only 4 stars?
I have so far only alluded as I said it, and the fifth star can I forgive the earliest, if I had more experience with Risen 3. So far it looks however as if I'm going to another star yet assigned because it just brings joy far :-)
UPDATE:
*******
So I Risen 3 now played out and must say that it has given me a lot of fun. There are only a few points of criticism:
1. It is interesting to note that the movements of sword and Warhammer are identical, so that his opponent, the flat side of the head of the hammer chasing through the chest as if you stab with a sword. This could have been observed.
2. The battle against Crow was on medium difficulty my feeling to be easy, as I had expected more.
3. The ending was somewhat unsatisfactory because I had also expected more.
However, the fact remains that it is a successful game in Risen 3 which is clearly above the average.
