Positives:
* Screw for all speakers
* Calibration via the included microphone works very accurate and has everything exactly readable / understandable menu
* Bright, easy to read display, which boxes are active with display
* Specifically nameable inputs (eg have the Toshlink input with "Kathrein" and the 2nd with "Xbox 360" named
* Menu can be accessed in parallel during a film and as the Audio Delay (LipSync) while the sound can be adjusted
* 3D Pass-Through working properly!
* Beautifully balanced sound but also with a lot of pressure wenns must be!
* On screen menu with very good explanation / settings of individual parameters and on screen display with volume change
* LipSync set automatically or manually and the dynamic range, ie the difference between the softest to the loudest sounds can in standard, maximum are (very loud) set or just for late at night in minimum
* Remote control works very well on the range / angle, even in 3D mode where the Pioneer whom I had hardly stopped responding because of active shutter glasses
Neutral:
* No Videoscaler described herein Amazon mistake! (But is not an error of Yamaha but precisely Amazon, therefore neutral)
* Remote control is not illuminated (perhaps in this price range also too much to ask ?!)
* DSP programs are a matter of taste!
Negatives:
* Manual unfortunately only on CD! Never imagined the 91 pages now printed himself, because I like to have just what in the hand
* Remote control could be clearer and not so crammed with too many unnecessary buttons!
CONCLUSION:
All in all a my opinion, very good receiver of his money's worth in any case. 'D buy it to me at once! (Previously, I had quite a few comparisons namely years before the Pioneer VSX-100 AVR, then a Teufel Concept S + R, then a Bose V30, then the Pioneer VSX520 and now just the Yamaha V471) And yes, I know, is at Bose rumgehackt like, but does not belong here! ;-)
Oh, and as Speaker I have the Canton MX-125 connected, including at the entry level. My product chain is as follows: TV 21: 9 Philips (58PFL9955) BDT110 Panasonic, each connected via HDMI 1.4, as well as by the Toshlink Kathrein UFS922 and the Xbox 360 Slim and everything works fine! (Where just the Pioneer has partially gestreickt!)
