The room analysis system works fine. The removal of the boxes as well as orientation and height is properly detected and adjusted. Professionals can then verfeinen the values in the detail and change.
The sound is on my 5.1 speaker system devil very well. Significantly better than its predecessor (Denon AVR-1705; at that time winner). The playback of music is clear room-filling sound and stronger than before. The output of the sound of movies is extremely clear in language effectively and the effects come over bombastic.
The upscaling of movies work. I have the comparison test (2 DVD players - one on the receiver, the other directly to the TV) made with various DVD. When upscaling enabled the image in direct comparison is much sharper and more defined. Colors are strong and there is less blurring in detail.
Setting up the receiver incl. Cabling was smooth and fast. When switching the input device also automatically switches to the control. When "DVD" is selected (and DVD player connected to the DVD also Port) and I can control the player via the remote control receiver. Switched to DBR and the same buttons control the hard disk recorder.
Not I tested the LAN access and thus not the Internet radio.
Personally I really liked the set of inputs. I was easily able to connect two HDMI devices and to all my devices (four), which do not have HDMI. Unlike my old Denon was clearly marked which optical input to which video input (no HDMI in these devices) is connected. A Try was unnecessary, to the inputs can be reconfigured easily through OnSreen menus.
Some small things I noticed that no penalty are but worth for me.
As mentioned by some critics, the device seems to problems with some devices at BD input to have. The Playstation 3 (My BD player) on BD input did not run properly - umgestöpselt in HDMI 1 input and everything was fine.
The Receier is apparently shipped from the factory with volume -200. I geknobelt at the beginning why although the test signal comes through all boxes, but nothing can be heard when playing a BD.
Also I had the problem that once the FP recorder (depends directly on your TV) starts recording the receiver switches the current BD Down and hidden to the other channel in order. Switching off the HDMI control of the TV was the right proposal here.
Conclusion:
For this price range, a device with very good sound and video output.
