Jablonsky returns NEN gear

After Steve Jablonsky had priority with expensive blockbusters to do with the island, the Transformers movies or Enders Game with lots of special effects, Pain & Gain is a comedy as even smaller.
Although I am just by the Transformers scores a Jablonsky supporter become, but I am always curious when he tackles something else.
Pain & Gain ultimately also represents a very interesting work, because Jablonsky noticeably back on a transition. He has the music provided with much atmosphere that does have its strengths, especially in the quiet moments and good given the special touch of an electric guitar. But the quiet passages also have one or the other weakness. Without sacrificing really good Jablonsky is here, as usual, when he goes with a little more dynamic and pace works. Apparently, he feels there is still most at home, even though he has proven with the score at Enders Game about that he can convince to 100% with consistently quieter compositions. Only here can do that is not complete.
Pain & Gain is ultimately not a score I'd recommend someone as an introduction to the work of Jablonsky as the Transformers scores are simply the ne plus ultra, but who is more familiar with Jablonsky bombastic work for is Pain & Gain time an interesting alternative.
