I hated this book shocked me and made me abandon the series (to my regret because I was a fan of the first hour). I would try to explain why. In recent years, virtually all police investigations authors seem to follow a rule (secret imposed?): Write the saddest story, creepy and horrible as possible, where the overall message would be: So you commit suicide right away because we live in an ugly world that leaves no chance for happiness. Is this kind is needed to continue to sell? Maybe because this trend is relatively widespread so I guess it meets a real demand. Personally, I do not agree and unfortunately this book summarizes all by himself all I hate: An inexorable gears of history, which describes a slide towards "hell" with no chance of escape, touching someone of young (to make it even worse to do?), with every possible genre clichés (yes, everything that can go wrong is listed, nothing has been forgotten), and as the finale as sudden destruction Free of only small radius positive that hardly floated amid all this mixture of gray and black. Then there is what makes? Ben anything. I could as well have been watching the 20 hour day, it would have been faster. So in conclusion, to me it's not. For cons, I would add that the writing and the psychological study of the characters are awesome, as always with E. George, and if you like dramas, this one is one of high quality (said without any irony) .
