I decided to listen to the whole album, discoverable, and I really have not looked back.
It's nice to discover (finally) a good French album, certainly not transcendent, but with French songs sung by a French!
I was won over by the fairly modern electro-pop style but with a retro feel, the singer has this amazing voice that "vibrates" really making me think of Florence & the Machine, and the sounds and rhythm (especially in the first song "It") are actually very inspired by Michael Jackson. A good mix, mastered, and a very rich and varied musical: each song is different, some are quite soft (Paradise Lost, Night 17-52 ...) other more dynamic, (It, Saint Claude .. .) it is not monotonous, it really leaves listen.
There is creativity, a refined style (which had a lot of work surely), it's beautiful musically, and especially the singer manages to immerse ourselves in an unusual atmosphere. I enjoyed the warm atmosphere then it releases the electronic genre is often deemed to produce cold tones. That said, I find some songs a little flat and I think it could have gone further, more varied in intensity, and on the records.
But it's so rare an album with more than 3-4 good songs today, so I can only encourage this artist to do better later! She has a real potential anyway.
In short, this is THE right 2014 French surprise for me and I recommend everyone listen to the album at least once. (And buy it if you love it!)
My favorite songs: "It," "Saint Claude," "Chaleur Humaine", "Night 17-52".
PS: Do not be swayed by the media, often misses surprises simply because we listen to music with an ear that is not neutral and is packed with completely biased prejudices behind.
