Solvents, or what?

I can the exhalations that describe some users only confirm and do not understand why this does not really stand more users. I have a wireless keyboard already 2 at Amazon and even ordered directly from the Apple Store. ... Every time I got the thing with unbearable odors. Requests for Apple and repeated exchange also brought no improvement.

Ultimately, then I Apple a Niegel Brand New predecessor sent (ie still this with the 3 batteries). Only this model was then odorless !!!
... Somehow seems to be well known at Apple the problem, but it will not really respond.

I did not even have the last stinking keyboard (with 2 batteries) return it to Apple, because you wrote me I could dispose of these! So strange eh !? ... I have not thrown away the keyboard by the way, but deposited in the attic. Since it is now more than 1 year, I test them now and then, but it drives me still after some time Mac work the tears in his eyes and a "whole-body itching" sets in. I fear that the definitely unhealthy stench never entirely disappears. :-(

... Whether this problem exists in current keyboards still I can not judge, of course! ... I refer to the model that I have acquired here and Applestore 2011.

So I had then argued in a letter to Apple:

When I got above Keyboard / Wireless Keyboard in June and unpacked met me a sweetish-pungent odor. At first I thought: Well it's just new and I suppose that is the much-vaunted Apple odor.

However, when I took the keyboard into operation I got after a short time (10-15 minutes use) watery eyes, headaches and itchy skin.

That can surely not be, I thought, and exchanged the new keyboard against my old / worn. But re-submit I wanted it not the same because I had first, looking forward to the new keyboard and secondly had read some reviews on the internet that the smell would disappear with time. (The odor problem is so well known in general)

I then asked and hoped that this would give to the smell soon the keyboard in an empty and uninhabited. In the following months, I have the keyboard from time to time checked, partly down for hours on the balcony in warm weather, but the smell remained and the physical symptoms occurred again and again, whenever I tentatively took the keyboard in use.

By the time I got the new keyboard almost forgotten until I saw it laying times.
On Tuesday, 25.10.2011 I have the keyboard (it smells now though considerably less, but the unpleasant odor is still present) back into operation.
You wonder sometimes how long the keyboard (by the end of June until the beginning of November !!!) time had its solvent / plasticizer - Scents / fumes, or whatever it may always be - to lose !!!!

Since I got back itching, headache or not immediately - I initially thought: OK, now I can probably use the keyboard without hesitation !?

Over the past week, I initially got a slight headache and a tingling sensation in the feet and hands, but this night I thought why not usually subsided again and again to the keyboard. In the following days, however, my condition worsened dramatically.
This weekend I had the following symptoms:
Constant headaches - dizziness - repeatedly falling asleep feet and hands - and a constant noise in the ears (especially the left). The whole deteriorated so much that my wife on Monday, 31.10.2011 had to go to the doctor. However, this could not explain the symptoms and issued me a referral to a neurologist and a referral to ENT doctor.

When I was back home I remembered back to problems with the keyboard that appears to have other users the way (can be found in many a recession in the Internet)

I then the new keyboard again relegated to the empty room and put my old keyboard back into operation on Monday.
Lo and behold, from then on it was me (only very little and slowly) getting better. Last night, the symptoms were almost entirely disappeared. Although my appointments with neurologists and ENT specialist are still pending, but I am absolutely certain that the health problems come from the exhalations of the keyboard.

To the complete assurance, I would of course in a laboratory (toxilogischen Institute) can create a toxicological report, which is not cheap though, but I still play with the idea.

My wife thinks that I with my problem to go to the public (newspapers, radio, television or regional), then on such a hair-raising case surely would interest and then perhaps taken over the costs of such an opinion of the people there are could.
Just so you understand me, me it is absolutely serious about this matter and I want to have absolutely clarified it. Because my health is very important to me and I find it an absolute scandal that such devices may be sold in Germany at all here.

I am writing to you this letter because I want to give you the chance / opportunity to react! I can not imagine that I am so far the first / only one who realized the keyboard these problems and approach contributes to me !?

Please contact me as soon as possible and inform me of a possible, fast, non-bureaucratic solution that will save you and me running around and the stress associated with the laboratory, or press / media.

Is the problem of stabbing and obviously unhealthy odor when you know (I'm assuming) and the keyboard is now somewhere else produced, and now manufactured with materials gesundheitsverträglicheren?

An exchange of - for me not usable - keyboard would result naturally only makes sense if the new keyboard would be free of pollutant loads.
If this were the case, and they would initiate an immediate exchange, I could refrain from the thing to make it public, because then would be so helpful.

Nevertheless, I'll think of in the future twice before I buy a new Apple product! Because the original keyboard that came two years ago with my iMac had incidentally no fumes!

... May be that some of my symptoms described as "exaggerated" or "cocky" classify, but for me the whole unfortunately more than real.

The fact that my Apple (about "talking" without was) finally sent a predecessor keyboard (actually the described vapors not release) and wrote to me that I should simply discard the other Tatstatur - should one give it to think, or !? ;-)

I may be a particularly vulnerable case concerns what solvents and Co because I only own since a serious motorcycle accident a lung, this is also emphysemisch, I thereby also suffering from COPD and must inhale several times a day.

Nevertheless, there should not be such things from a manufacturer like Apple. Unbelievable what is being produced in China ... :-(
