I was, like many others, very excited about the CD. What we have to wait and already have doubts about the hope of a 3rd studio CD of the band. The people behind the project I have the inclined prospective here safely say nothing. Of course, all 4 musicians are certain exceptional talents, and very successful in their regular bands (Marillion, Dream Theater, Flower Kings, ex-Spock's Beard - now solo ... who knows ...?!). All these bands I knew a long time, long before Transatlantic. And now the 3rd work of this reunion, because for a long time (also because of religious thought - I miss my own band jammer * *) a comeback was unthinkable. One song, "The Whirlwind", exactly 78 minutes long, divided into suites with repeatedly returning motives. It begins with a noise, and ends very glorious and sublime. Personally, I could not have wished a better Progrockalbum. Although sounds here and there through times that the recording and writing sessions are much too unusual scarce, but that does not detract from the overall picture; at least not for me. Sometimes there are lengths, sometimes lack the element of surprise, but I'm so surprised enough already :) Seriously, I think it's probably one of the most important and best-PROG albums of the year ... and that was when it comes to progressive rock eh a very good year. I recommend buying the CD, and rate to the deluxe edition, since the "making-of" the enclosed DVD (total 105 minutes interesting ... you have something to long images to the vocal recordings verschmerze) is made very informative and nice , The bonus disc is certainly a nice complement to the whole. Of particular note is an absolutely grandiose cover of "The Return Of The Giant Hogweed" of Genesis (Nursery Cryme, 1971). The bonus songs of the band are great, although much popiger ... but I also like sweet melodies.
My recommendation: Buy! If you like prog, who finds good Spock's Beard and Flower Kings ... here you doing nothing wrong. 4 musicians on very high level.
