Martin L. Gore, which is the Depeche Mode, who attracted attention for years by strange hairstyles and bizarre clothes and then eventually stomped in the electric-poppers with guitar on the stage. Who now at his second solo album therefore an acoustic tour expected is completely wrong. "Counterfeit²" is, like its predecessor, a pure cover album and shows in a pleasant way, that electronic music has a soul. All titles are clearly audible origin and Martin L. Gore fills them with seemingly organic sounds, rather than to be backed by a stupid Bums beat. The opening blues classic "In My Time Of Dying" is still electronically packed and even "Loverman" by Nick Cave can be seen only at the second attempt. Gore is a master to build emotions with all kinds of electronic Geflirre and squeaking and ennoble his innocent clear voice.
