The supplied software could be easily installed in a few minutes from Plextor.
Unfortunately, the software is not on the desktop still am 6 years old laptop, in both cases, the error message that PowerDVD is not optimized for this screen resolution and would be closed, that PowerDVD can not open from the desktop and the laptop / started!
Only my 10 "netbook with 1024 * 600 pixel starts the software. With such exotic hardware requirements, should be an indication on the packaging.
Blu Ray playable only in VGA resolution, is certainly a joke? Whether still work other resolutions I do not know because I have not tested it, but you will also not constantly change the resolution and then sort its new user interface.
From the netbook from a home-burned DVD also features were a purchased DVD (with and without copy) and a selling Blu Ray play easily (with copy protection) as fast forward etc. functioned without gehoppel and without crashes. The approximately 1-hour test the software was exemplary stable on the netbook. Also the netbook via HDMI to an HDTV (Windows has a resolution of 1920 * 1080 recommended) worked fine.
The drive itself makes a mechanically ordinary the price reasonable impression. The noise remember but to an old floppy disk drive - warning lights do not need you, you can hear whistling through and Schrappeln it works.
