Your first sign of life after the frankly rather unsuccessful 2003 album "Meta-Funk'n Physical" is because, unfortunately, but not completely convincing. Although the grisly drum machine remains this time in the box, but still the production sounds more like a home studio to Profiaufnahme.Zwar one is thus still a few steps above the disasters of recent Boston and Tate / Queensryche- albums, but properly enthusiasm does not want yet arise. After all, the songs do not necessarily attract the butter from the bread that you have everything before you ever heard better. Compared to the old albums, however, everything here sounds plenty stuffy and tame, the choruses do not remain hanging, the riffs pop not right, and the grooves sound - even sound conditionally - more like Dorfdisco than for a "Piece of the Rock". Okay, Joyce Kennedy still sounds unbelievably good, but sometimes heard, which was a little hurried along at Glen Murdock's vocals and the backing with Autotune. This of course is unquestionably allowed, but if they did, you should at least make the mix the fact that the whole thing does not really stand so terrible.
Of course, all is not terribly bad, and a clever producer could rausholen a little more certainly, but unfortunately remains just a mediocre composed music on the sound level of a quite talented amateur band, and this is in my opinion for a band like MF too little.
