The gamepad came swiftly. The original packaging was found to be very stable, unpacking was a bit of a challenge. At first glance, one recognizes the excellent workmanship of the gamepad, and the device is also significantly heavier than any cheap parts.
There were brand batteries with, so that you could start right away. I thought.
The small USB transmitter is simply plugged into a USB port on the computer, then you should actually install the pad of self Win7. Does not it though. While the device is detected, the installation was aborted but always incomplete. Have several USB ports (USB 2.0) tried, but unfortunately it did not help. The gamepad was no driver CD. The manual also did not prove helpful.
The solution was ultimately the fact downloading the driver at microsoft.com and install it.
The problem seems to occur occasionally under Win7 with other users. Who has similar problems, just googling hereafter:
Xbox 360 Accessories Software 1.2 64-bit for Windows 7
After install and restart all running, namely smoothly.
As expected, the pad sits comfortably in the hand, everything works as it should and there is also the compatibility no problem, I'm thrilled! So all in all, great part and a real treat after the botch with cheap parts that I had before. I particularly like that you can change the function of the directional pad with the left stick on "Mode".
Caution: The advertised in the item description Software is not in in CD form, but can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
A weighty downside is that Win7 has not managed the installation alone, had no drivers here. There's a star deduction.
