Broadly speaking, it is a good device and I am satisfied, therefore, been 5 stars.
What I would have rather wished would be a larger-scale programmability. Only possible is a sleep timer after a certain number of hours. Would also be possible, of course, a weekly program was, holiday function, this or that, the heating thermostats regularly available at Aldi (actuators for regular wall heaters) combine all this for only 15 and really are excellent, but that's a luxury problem and does the device itself does not demolition.
The processing itself is okay, but not outstanding. What was me personally most irritated that the feet look quite cheap ago by the optics, but they do their job. At the upper edge of the glass plate, the black backing is my set unfortunately "frayed" (to look into the video), but also that I find bearable for my application.
The supplied remote control or the transceiver function, you should, however, already accurately target and the angle between the set vote, must make it ever responds. Below the display is a "hole" in the finish of the wheel, behind the receiver sits on these should aim, then it runs like clockwork. Through my ceiling through the attic the remote control not responding, which was to go, I always have to climb halfway up the stairs and produce "visual contact".
The beeping of the device is useful for remote control, but unnecessary and otherwise almost annoying.
The instructions are the essentials ago and is not really comfortable, but contrary to other reviewers I would not label as almost unusable the article about it. Some things you have to just sometimes employ 10 to 30 minutes with the manual before it is understood, although there are actually only 2 double-page spreads in the small manual that deal with the function, the rest are mainly warnings, care, maintenance, disposal and primarily safety instructions.
The programming, since we were already: it is shown in the video, even though the very bright display my camera demanded too much and little on the display can be seen. The program seems cumbersome and - as mentioned - were it been easier to realize if you had installed a little more electronic. But if one has not, so you have to deal with it a little and but is also quickly behind. (Originated where the video) Already on the second night I was able to make the program completely carefree.
Disturbing or irritating to me is that the unit is sometimes on its own simply cryptic beeps consequences of itself. Whether it comes to noise voltages that annoy the electronics or any microwaves in the house confuse the receiver, I do not know. I have no way to reproduce this phenomenon found. So what happens: It occasionally happens that the device in the ON state for a short time begins beeping uncontrollably and apparently also changes any settings.

After a good month I use reducing the rating from 5 to 2 stars because of the aforementioned reasons. Said "beep sequences" are actually setting changes. These are found in every state, as they just feel like. Whether anti-freeze function, 1kW, 2kW or standby mode, sometimes immediately after power is sometimes only after many hours of continuous operation, but fact that the convector often makes what he wants. Things (all of them several times, and something really daily) are happening:
- I want to by 23 clock turn on the convector, but note that in the bedroom prevail 25 degrees, the unit is kW operating already in the 2 and though I switched it by 5 clock after the wake-up call of 17 degrees set temperature in 1 kW operating on standby have.
- I turn a remote control, instead of antifreeze to 2 kW, the unit switches itself off.
- The operation arises simply times from 1 kW to to anything else, so I am either freezing wake up, because is heated in frost protection until 6 degrees, or choked, because the heat development to 2 kW is not conducive to a good night's sleep.
- In the middle of the Following I am awakened by the frantic beeping, the device does what it wants, to, from, to, warmer, other operating mode, etc.
Because of the "automatic transmission" during the day I have already set a switchable socket with remote control in between, but that also brings me anything if I then at night have the annoying theater and can either poorly or not sleep. In addition, then is also still annoying that one evening when you turn first ever of 35 degrees (default setting after the "reset" by a lack of power - whoever comes to something ?!) Reset to below 20 degrees must and everything is quitiert with loud beeping, but seis drum, with shrinkage is to be expected.
From the function and the heat emitted per se I am still 100% confident and if it were not this high-handedness, the device would get full and deserved 5 stars. But what shall I do with a device that does not work?
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case. I have read the disappointment towards the reviews of other Glaswärmekonvektoren and whatever the format, regardless of manufacturer, the devices have all these Macke. Whether Rowi, Einhell or Captain Planet, there is something amiss and that's really sad, because I'm looking for exactly this visually discreet noble version with thermostat and timer, the remote control capability is the icing on the cake. I'm just a little stumped, as I now do more, but with this unit or the other, from the images fro nearly identical devices from other manufacturers I will not be happy.

The 1000 and 2000 Watts function is selected manually and corresponds to two different heat settings, once full power, even less juice, accordingly marked by day and night icon. The 1000 W have held me far into the night well warm and are fine for me, a very rapid heating at night is not necessary, only an approximate maintain the desired temperature. And, what should be considered, and the current price is. 2000 W is in continuous use 2 kWh consumption per hour. Continuous operation has the equipment but fortunately not. If the set temperature is reached, the device switches off automatically. If the actual temperature then 5 degrees below target it will turn on again. This works great. Unfortunately, you can not manually adjust the temperature difference, I would find 3 degrees difference meaningful, but so far I'm not frozen by far.
Overall, I find the unit well and despite minor things that I have mentioned here, it works great and I find it more than worth the purchase. Full marks.
