1) Letting Go (feat. Sarah Green)
A thoughtful, almost melancholy start to the album, in which you realize that the prequel to "laser" has left its mark in motion. It processes the experiences and puts down a great flow.
2) Words I Never Said (feat. Skylar Grey)
In a similar style as "Letting Go" it goes on, Lupe raps about current topics that move him, so for example, terrorism, rumors modern culture and poverty. The song is full of energy and completely convincing.
3) Till I Get There
"Till I Get There" is definitely one of my favorite songs on the laser ". With a witty and clever lyrics Beat the song comes along. The chorus is fantastic and remains long hanging in the ear!
4) I Do not Wanna Care Right Now (feat. MDMA)
Fast upbeat song, with the magnifying glass in great style lives out his flow, great! The electronic refrain with MDMA depends significantly to a wider audience, which does not bother me. Again a great change.
5) Out Of My Head (feat. Trey Songz)
In this song you realize maybe most that Atlantic Records had its finger in the pie. The song has comparatively inconsequential texts and one has the feeling of having something like this ever heard him on the radio or on MTV.
6) The Show Goes On
I feel that after this is the best song on "laser" !!! When I heard him for the first time, I got goose bumps. Especially the chorus is unique. Also lyrically lot is advised Lupe processed here too the mudslinging with Atlantic Records and directed his eyes at the same time forward. A strong piece.
7) Beautiful laser (feat. MDMA)
Varied and quieter than the last two titles. In my view, not a high-flyer, in the US the title, however, is one of the most successful of the album.
8) Coming Up (feat. MDMA)
"Coming Up" is a feel-good hit in the best manner! A track that simply is a real pleasure and quite has the potential for summer hit! The chorus with MDMA is also again very successful. Check it!
9) State Run Radio (feat. Matt Mahaffey)
A song that unfolds with each new listening. Lupe raps about the (hidden) mechanisms of modern society and manifests itself this relatively critical. Matt Mahaffey brings super into the song.
10) Break The Chain (feat. Eric Turner & Sway)
Fantastic track. Again a change, but the song comes along electronic than previous ones. Many will say again, it is adapted to the mainstream, but I say that Lupe this track with so much energy that fills it is a real pleasure.
11) All Black Everything
Clearly the most political song on the album. Lupe outlined a scenario of peace and justice, and appeals to his listeners. The strings and backing vocals paint a fairytale-like soft image - really great.
12) Never Forget You (feat. John Legend)
Finally even skin Lupe smooth one of the best songs of the album out. The feature with John Legend fits beautifully, the song goes smoothly with his thoughtful style ear and takes one on a journey with.
Conclusion:
Despite everything wrangling in the run is "laser" in my opinion one of the best albums that Hip Hop has experienced lately. A strong work, the dreamy, serious, playful, thoughtful, varied, appellative and positive in one. Add to that the profound lyrics and the unmistakable Flow Lupe Fiascos. Clear purchase recommendation!
