Always up, Captivating !!

This volume is just after Volume 6 of Mercy Thompson. Charles takes his role as executor of Marrok seriously detrimental to his wife and himself. Anna can not stand to see her husband biting through all his performances. Through perseverance, Anna pushes the Marrok to find a solution for Charles. It decides to send the FBI to help find a serial killer that attacks the Wolves to give the role of "hero" to Charles instead of that of "killer".
The plot is very well done but if some passages are sometimes predict, the murderer, the evolution of the investigation remains captivating. Some action scenes accelerate the pace.
The evolution of the torque is somewhat sidelined, leaving the front line investigation, but that does not stop the emotion is present throughout the volume. We follow with great apprehension the imbalance suffered by the couple because of problems Charles and his conscience. I enjoyed having the views of our two characters, allowing to feel the emotions on both sides: the frustration of not being able to help Anna Charles, and the fear of it hurting Anna. Anna has much evolved since the first volume, it became stronger and more confident.
In this volume, we see many characters that scroll more or less important in the plot. It is refreshing but sometimes if we can lose.
A tome always live up to the writing of the author. Nice time to spend with lovable and charismatic characters. According to the author's website, she still does not know if a sequel will come, everything depends on future ideas.
