Customer Review

Did this computer selected as a replacement for my Windows XP desktop Recher which reliable after 6 years of operation, has died of old age the. My budget was actually so to the 800, but that is quickly exceeded in gaming PCs. One of the main reasons to buy this machine was built SSD. Yes, that's really what fine ... as Windows starts faster than I've ever experienced. The Windows logo on boot has just set up, here comes the logon screen. A few seconds later you can use the computer already. Also fast does the computer also down again. Even programs (eg the Opera browser) start very quickly. That's great :) But fast boot is not all ... I want to play the part :) For use come with me currently Deus Ex Human Revolution, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, NFS Hot Pursuit, Batman Arkham Asylum, Metro 2033 , etc. Until recently called game I can do everything in highest settings play smoothly at a resolution of 1680 * 1050 (more are my 22 "screen is not her). Also Vsync is active. I have Fraps run the play. The FPS always move at +/- 60 FPS. Sometimes even a little less, but still more than 50 FPS. In Metro 2033 I have on high details (instead of maximum) switch and the resolution set low (1280 * 1024). Then can be played properly. I'm talking here. For highest Eistellungen and highest resolution went from a little over 40 FPS at 30 FPS.

For computer itself ... this is delivered in a simple but elegant black casing, which, however, a Plexiglascheibe on the opening side has, which you can see the blue-lit interior. Unfortunately, however, the computer is on a computer desk, so I have nothing of it;) Everything looks well made of, have of course sometimes opened the case and took a look at the interior. Since there are nothing to complain about regarding the processing. For me strange is the fact that by the way, quiet PSU is mounted below the chassis. Even otherwise, the computer runs pretty quietly. When I hear utilization hum a subtle, but which is not disturbing. In normal use, hear virtually nothing. Information on volume of the DVD drive I can not say anything ... I've no need to insert DVD)

There are plenty of USB 2.0 ports on the front and rear housing (4 front, back, I did not count them, but there were some) and 2 USB 3.0 ports at the rear of the housing. Even there the front of the housing headphone and microphone ports. Above the housing there is also a CD / DVD tray, the On / off switch and a reset switch. Connection-wise here standard fare is on offer. For me enough, I need something special, I'll just upgrade the computer.
Some people report that the installed hardware is not the offer corresponded (including other graphics card, though apparently as powerful and another power supply). For me, everything seems to match the offer.

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and that is really great, there is no annoying OEM software preinstalled! No trial version of Microsoft Office or a stupid Internet Security Suite Ala Norton or Kaspersky ... The usual reinstallation of Windows to remove the OEM software thus eliminating the need and the computer wakes from sleep instantly.
It is a benchmark tool has only been pre-installed "Furmark". Aussderm located on the desktop, a folder with various software that you must install but first. Since different burning programs, photo editing software Paint.net, OpenOffice 3 (why not LibreOffice?), The security software MSE and a Trial of backup software available. The backup software I would like to use, but as I said a trial. Have the time being resorted to Drive Image XML, this software is free for home use.
Of course, all drivers are also pre-installed ... you really get here an immediately deployable computer. As described by others, you have to activate Windows Phone. But that was without a hitch.
Furthermore, the package are 3 DVDs at in (Windows 7 installation DVD, mainboard and graphics drivers) and various manuals and a few adapters for the video card and the power cable. In the true genome coming from me offer but is still not the Shogun at 2 voucher. Too bad, but this kind of game is anyway not my thing, but) The packaging of the built in hardware are not included.

The takeaway from Trend Alert convinced. Ordered on Saturdays, Mondays was sent on Wednesday delivery was there (I'm living in Belgium, otherwise if it were probably gone even faster). To my requests was always responded quickly.

I am actually very happy, have the computer but only about a week. Let's see if I will have long pleasure :) So far, definitely 5 stars. I also believe that the price is okay. Similar configurations can be determined even fewer get for a few euros. But for the computer, the necessary software has been assembled, installed and it is delivered to your home.

Edit 26/01/12: Today snacked as the computer because Crysis packs :) So, 1680 * 1050 at high settings with AA 8xq without Vsync :) Fraps in it has always showed at least 40fps, but often goes up above 60FPS. Have now additionally AA turned off and can now play with durschschnittlich 70 FPS. That's pretty fluently :)
Even with Metro 2033 I AA to its lowest setting set, because I can not quite Unignore it. This then brings one more time a few more FPS :)
I think this PC is the "brake" the graphics card. That may sound an exaggeration, because a 560GTX Ti is certainly not a "nonsense". It is a good mid-range card. I think I already know what I'm going in with this computer invest time;) But a year I want to play before I change what already ...

edit: 27/01/12: So, now I have the configuration of Crysis checked and am quite impressed. I have the settings left on high, asked AA to 4x and Vsync enabled. Oh, and let the game run with DirectX 11 ... if already, because already :) So I have pretty constant FPS rates, namely 60. I played for a while and that is very good :) Here and there a few slips FPS down, but not dramatically. When the way the optimal settings can automatically set, the computer selects the high settings. Really seems to be the most appropriate setting.

Edit 05/02/12: Have Crysis now played for a while and must add that in later levels the FPS rate but goes down a bit. I'm talking about 30-40 FPS, displayed by Fraps. But also continue Vsync active. Deeper no longer we went though. That's still playable. Wanted to mention it only.

I am also after almost 2 weeks of usage glad to have taken the model with the SSD. People, if you do also want to establish such a computer, do not save and take the version with the SSD! Which has "only" 60GB storage capacity, but langts for Windows and the applications. Games come naturally for lack of space on the 2nd hard disk. So install eg Steam also there for the Steam folder does not end up on the SSD (got the error made at the beginning and wondered why almost no space on the SSD was suddenly). Now I still have almost 20GB free space on the SSD. Applications are launched very quickly, eg OpenOffice ... that has to start with my old computer used always for a while ... now the Ruckzuck :) my Opera browser is also unusually fast start. So should be!

The computer makes me more and more fun :)

Did not now time GTA 4 is installed and tested. Again, the Resolution 1680 * 1050 mainly high settings for graphics quality, AA and Vsync well. These settings can be determined automatically by the game to have the best possible performance with the best possible quality. In the game I had always above 50 FPS, says at least Fraps.

I had to be honest but also such an outcome expected. Games like GTA 4 and Crysis are considered resource hog and still bring depending on settings high-end computer sweat. But my new computer is reflected quite well :) So far I could play every game reasonable. At worst, I had times downshifting some settings on high setting (rather than high) and the resolution and AA.

The computer still runs very quietly and the SSD is gorgeous. This is by far the flotteste computer I ever owned. As I said, for over 100 more can also be the top configuration with i7 and 16GB RAM down. I habs not done, because with the necessary power, I am absolutely satisfied. I had also read that the i5 2500K is well equipped for the future and can be overclocked easily. For overclocking I see currently still no sense. I do not think that more heart make the games even faster. Here is probably the GTX560 Ti, the "brake". The 8GB RAM should be sufficient for the next time.

Oh want to play their Fallout 3 with this computer, then you will run into problems. I love this game, but unfortunately it does not work well with quad-core processors. But you can find with Google in a few seconds tutorials to resolve the issue. So do not demonize the computer when Fallout 3 crashes constantly. It's the game of guilt;) But thanks to a tutorial I could bring the game to run perfectly :) By the way I can play Fallout 3 with my resolution in the highest possible settings. There is certainly still a higher resolution in it. I do not have the impression that the game the computer somehow strained. No stuttering, short charge times, liquid struggles ...

Edit 30/05/12: Jo, higher resolution for Fallout 3 is readily there. Have now a 24 "and can now play in 1920 * 1080, without changing anything in the performance Fallout 3.

Here is a list of my installed games (when the graphics settings had to be screwed down, I read that there ... otherwise run the other games in the highest settings).

Aliens vs. Predator (2010)
Alpha Protocol
Amnesia

Dark Souls - Prepare to Die Edition
Darkness 2 - a wacky person shooter :)
Darksiders 2
DayZ
Dead Iceland

Deus Ex GOTY - One of the best games of all time (no matter what computer I had before) ... but like HR still better. Even when the first part is more complex. I was even more packed HR! The second part of Deus Ex has I did not like. But maybe I'm not busy enough me.
Deus Ex Human Revolution + The Missing Link DLC - Super! Probably the best title I got to play so far. Just my kind of game, hoping for a sequel!

Splinter Cell - Conviction
State of Decay
Street Fighter 4
Super Meatboy
System Shock 2 - The unofficial predecessor of Bioshock) This game there as a reprint. At that time, around 2000, the game was amazing! Even with a strong computer such titles are still coming to the plate. This includes in my top list of best games. Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite are great, but System Shock 2 is better. If you want to deal with because older titles.
Test Drive Unlimited 2
The Walking Dead
The Witcher (Enh. Edition)
Torchlight
Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Van Helsing
Wasteland 2
Wolfenstein
Wolfenstein - The New Order
X-Com Enemy Unknown
X-Com Enemy Within

Here are of course older or known technically undemanding titles (because some of the best games are a bit older), but also some DirectX 11 titles in ... If DirectX 11 support (eg Deus Ex HR, Stalker CoP or AVP) then Activate I also. The two games where I really had to play with the sliders in the settings are Crysis and Metro 2033rd

Edit 12/29/12: Again games list updated :) After almost a year of computer runs like new. No failures to date. Even current games run well. With few exceptions, I can play all of the highest quality. Good piece of hardware, but not cheap. But what I now know is that I no longer comes under computer without SSD :)

Edit 12/15/13: A year has passed again ... and you know what? My computer still runs like a 1 :) I have no hardware changes made so far and I play immmer still current title. Bioshock Infinite? X-Com Enenmy Unknown? Skyrim? Far Cry 3? State of Decay? Batman Arkham City? And so on and so forth (got the games list updated) ... I have a lot of tracks played and now all ran. But in Far Cry 3 I had to play sensibly in HD take a few compromises. But nothing earth-shattering, better for the little bit of graphic glory I give out any money to buy about a new graphics card. On this computer, each title still looks better than on any console) and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit running like hell ... that has not become a bit slower, or even unstable in the 2 years. I love my SSD! On the SSD even pasted a sticker with the slogan "I love my SSD" ... I've thought then that this is once again an exaggerated self-advertising by the manufacturer. By the way is the OZC and I demletzt times that went bankrupt ... shame. Windows crashes? I've also experienced times, but is very rare and after restart everything is running again as it should. No new installation date, this is still the first installation by the manufacturer, which I had to activate only by phone! Great hosts, I did not regret the purchase.

Edit 11/01/15: Another year passed and my computer is still running :) Have been nothing on the configuration changed, but I think I will soon install ne current graphics card. It's not that I can not play the latest games in the best Quality ... I eg Alien: Isolation and bought the game runs best in the best quality. Anyway, a great game :) But Far Cry 4 brings the box to sweat. Also I would like to soon be The Witcher 3 games and have already heard that the game will make certain demands on the hardware to be played in high quality.
For normal requirements, the computer goes still thick ... Windows starts ruckzuck, applications are running fix (especially on the SSD, as the browser) and except for a few minor crashes, the computer runs stably. Was never confronted with serious problems. Until now, the 64GB SSD also has always served, but the additional 1TB HDD is pretty filled (Steam folder!). Hab times then uninstalled a few games, which I anyway do not play. Madness, what is all accumulating in the Steam library over time :) And games like Wolfenstein: The New Order show the same times 40GB. Or Alien: Isolation times just 25GB ... Have now definitely be back a few reserves. But that is perhaps even a replacement candidate: the HDD. Hab fortunate multimedia content, and backups to be able to save on a NAS.
