Justified criticism

What bothers me most common being: if I select text, so lose the cursor often "contact", which means I probably express not tight enough on the key or is not a fixer "Contact" produced by the clicking sound.

I'm using for the first time a mouse with touch interface to replace the scroll wheel. Windows 8 should still function so intuitive ... Now I have my doubts. To scroll left / right on the touch surface can be just as up / down scrolling, so you are not dependent on left / right movements with your finger.
