Bosch random orbit sander PEX 400 AE in the trunk (tool)

Customer Review

First off, the good thing about this grinder:
+ Handy, not too heavy
+ High removal rate, good sanding pattern
+ Compatible Noise

But ...:
The device is a mega Dreckschleuder! Although the dust filter also captures dust, but also blows massive dust at the back, because the little box is leaking and no rubber gasket is installed in it. If you only horizontally and then vertically looped, falling clumps of dust from the device and are blown by the Luftstom and eccentric movement in the air.

With the knowledge that hardwood dusts (oak, beech, ...) are carcinogenic in connection with certain chemicals / wood preservatives, is not that! So you can work in rooms without an external dust extraction and should also wear a dust mask.

Nor can the dust box hard dismantle and even harder dranstecken again. For this extreme effort is necessary. Also opening the dust box for emptying is fiddly and goes hard.

And finally: (!) The grinding wheel that Bosch has settled with was worn out after less than 10 minutes. The discs from Metabo which I bought later, are much more durable.

I'm still not sure if I keep the device. From a test winner I would have expected more.

Update: I have to keep the grinder due to the good grinding performance, but I would not buy it again. I also had the Metabo in mind, which is, however, 40 EUR more expensive. I think I would spend the extra charge.

To leave the Bosch glossy world of advertising time, I have a picture set as the Bosch Grinder really looks after work (to cut a teak table). The dust box I have now covered with a fleece from the first aid kit to reduce the nuisance dust. The sanding pad is now after a few hours the first signs of wear.
