The more surprised I realized that crystallized more hit after the first run. First, there should be mentioned "Fight the World", which turns to a moderate start Satriani in a bastard of a thrash metal song that blows everything on the wall, what I've heard lately in this area. "No Surrender" is the next blast, the song starts with a riff that smooth from the Red Hot Chili Peppers also could have come (from 25 years ago, mind you, when they were able to write good riffs), culminating in an instantly catchy chorus. "One case, two Rise" must be also mentioned, sinfully good start with a great song from Dave Padden and then again Jeff Waters Metal at its best!
Ever Dave Padden: So far I did not find his singing particularly, but to "Feast" it provides, in my opinion his strongest performance from which new pieces appear to him simply to be more, for whatever reason.
5 of the remaining 6 tracks are at a relatively constant high level, sometimes melodic, sometimes thrashy, sometimes groovy and the best part: Quite a lot of things on "Feast" stay once in the ear!
A very small maverick down there, it then but still, the ballad "Perfect Angel Eyes" acting between the bock strong material of "Feast" lost something.
In the first edition there the "Re Kill" CD there to where the present occupation older band classic has rerecorded. And here, too: what a surprise! Padden sings especially the songs from "Alice in Hell" and "Never, Neverland" so hot that you may not believe it! A perfect abgemischter sound does the rest!
Conclusion: "Feast" is much better than expected and together with the "Re Kill" at the present time hot contender for the album of the year!
