You will find in this book, as in a fairy tale, frankly good characters, others extremely wicked that raise in you rage bloated and dincompréhension before such cold darkness. There is also like a more traditional novel a couple whose profile is more ambiguous. If evil is present, the book does not contain truly violent scene. It remains legible without more (or less) result quun fairy tale by a child.
This really is without reservation that I recommend this book. The central character is a little girl, but the book has worked great with our 9 year old son. The text is excellent quality, without vulgarity or profanity. Even if it is not really intended for it because of its size, you can easily make a book for reading aloud in the evenings. The first chapters are a bit long (in the 20 pages). The following much shorter and are therefore very manageable aloud.
You can offer it without hesitation to a child (or an adult). He or she will thank you.
Moreover, this is not the first book by Cornelia Funke that I read to my son and all have kept their promises. Until now, if I had to retain quun, it would be this one. The good news is that it there are plenty other books by the same author to discover.
Enjoy reading!
