I liked "The rain of the century" and enjoyed "the space of revelation", which I found very inventive, with a complex world, a story full of twists and turns, very deep characters with very psychology studied. Here, it is frankly not the case. First the book is very long, almost a thousand pages written little, and I say this without any malice, one wonders if (unfortunately) A. Reynolds would not be paid to the character, because it's very slow, very diluted. It remains interesting passages and some good finds (the character and the world of Sky Haussmann), but the hero is rather uninteresting and implausible (a professional killer with a side "Good Samaritan"), and the side "discovery" the first part of the universe disappeared here. When I think that Philip K. Dick wrote very rich and complex stories in 200 pages! Here in 1000 pages it does not happen much very interesting, unfortunately, turn the pages and vainly waiting to be surprised or held in suspense. As for me, I expect to read other books by this author to see whether to continue to read it.
