On the positive side in any case be noted that graphic that looks very nice in spite of 720p and upscaled. Where the background would have about sogut can be like the characters with the great fur representation itself, but unfortunately is not. The music is wiedermal fantastically beautiful and reminiscent of days DK titles on the Wii or on the N64 and SNES. Unfortunately, now the disappointment ...
The loading times are very marginal and while the figures flitting in this time on the screen, these jerky always something just does not look homogeneous. Ok are only loading times but ugly. Is it a Wii U problem or just poorly written? Hope there is a patch for it ...
Now for the worse evil! The Game for two is not only useless, but also makes the matter even more difficult. Donkey Kong itself is actually almost incapable without his cronies (Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong). In the end, the second player ever sitting on the hump of Donkey Kong in order to complete the difficult passages or a level at all.
In addition, when you die, two lives are always deducted that much life decimated collected quickly. It's a shame that you only two, instead of three or even four can play at the same time (as in other family games possible) but the multiplayer acts generally as this would have been added only later. So for my girlfriend and daughter, the game is also clearly too heavy and the frustration is therefore always very close.
So as a single player and for veterans, the game certainly top but as families / Mulitplayergame unfortunately it fails all along the line and gets me is why only 3 out of 5 stars. To Retro Studios would probably still prefer to make a Metroid title but was probably just the time pressure from Nintendo so massive in size that Donkey Kong was only mediocre ... shame really.
