Actually I wanted to speed up my database. Thanks to the fastest data access should a SSD as give wings. In a database it depends on many possible IO's per second, which this SSD when reading also reached. 55 MB / s for large data blocks and almost 3,000 IOPS of 8KB blocks. I was looking forward already huge. But then came the write access, and it kommts with me on; many small data blocks wegschreiben quickly. And this is where patzt this SSD. Few large IO's with 1-2MB per transaction funktioren tolerably well, approximately 15MB / s have been achieved on my computer. It seems to me but to the performance of many massive write accesses of 8KB blocks. And here at 55-60 IOPS was closing, just 2% of the performance such as reading and only a fraction of a small RAID system from the current 7200 hard drives Thus, this SSD for database with a lot of small writes unfortunately not available.
For the average user who just wants to replace its notebook drive, certainly not a bad product. For my application, unfortunately wg. the write performance is not available.
