I put into practice the exercises and advice in this book for less than a year, and I have reached a level of unexpected complicity with my horse. The advantage of this method: it allows us to be means riders. No need to have aids or a perfect base to establish a real relationship with his horse, motivate him to work, and get him much more than one would expect.
But be aware shake his habits and all that we were taught. The hardest part may be there, to question and forget everything we learned in clubs (short take the horse pen, keep in touch constantly, do not use voice or sweets because " it makes biter ", etc ...) without looking for excuses. If we accept to change, and to really put into practice the advice in this book, then finally gets complicity and much desired job.
My horse, "toddler" inveterate, who could not stand the contact with the bit became calm, responds to voice, on long reins, and regained confidence in working with the bit without getting upset, scampering, widen.
We have made incredible progress in all fields, and everyone asks me how I'm doing, when they see my horse obey the slightest gesture, the slightest order, calm and gentleness. I always say this is the method of Saint Veronica Vaulry!
