That is the fatal phrase that will sink a loving man into madness of a dangerous initiation quest, in which he will discover that his wife he adulated, is simply a terroriste.Il can not believe it. It has nothing vu.Il rose to côté.Il can not accept the unacceptable. It includes pas.Et yet there was this letter of farewell. He will look, turning in various Palestinian cities, why the woman he loved so much, preferred the Palestinian cause, why it decided to explode like thousands of others.
The player wanders the streets in search of answers about what motivates absolutely normal people, to commit the irreparable, to kill innocent people for a cause. The style is lyrical, pathetic, moving. If the author does not give excuses for terrorists, they only take us in their suffering, their "madness" and sometimes the turning of a paragraph, we understand and we fear.
The novel, built cyclically opens and closes with the description of an attack in the streets of Tel Aviv. I let you discover who dies in the middle of this act of barbarism. It only includes the end ...
I think this novel really is the problem of terrorism, critical topic today at the heart of our news. And he took advantage of a pacifist because by seeking to understand after all, those who sacrificed their lives to a cause. Why? This is what you will discover in part.
The novel is short, well-written, poignant, quite likely and questions seem to arise from reality.
I love the books that attempt to address the issues in a neutral, no appeal to arms for either party. "The Attack" made me think of a -promesses- documentary on the same subject and I advise extension. The film questions the children on both sides (Israel and Palestine) and attempts pacification emphasizing friendship, discussion, knowledge of the other. This pacification necessarily involves a form of empathy, also of compassion for the suffering of everyone. The point is not who is right -for the horrors too numerous in each camp- but try to love, despite culture differences, despite injuries -to stop the vicious circle of hatred which will end in never-. And it is not won! What matters is to try.
