This biography of Marie Antoinette is really excellent. Stephan Zweig is a psychologist who analyzes and perfectly interpret the behavior of the queen, without a story in mind we understand very well how his private life, his every movement, his choices had a significant impact on court life and the political life of that time. We are softened by the young Austrian landing in France, enervated by the queen who squanders his fortune, moved by the loving and passionate woman she was, and appalled by his cruel and tragic death. This comprehensive biography reads like a novel, very easily, and I repeat, no need to have historical knowledge to appreciate and understand. A great discovery to do without hesitation!
