Must masterpiece of modern metal

Move (CD)

Customer Review

10 years ago I listen and re-listen to this album and always with great pleasure and I realize that I have not yet taken the time to write a review, however short of this UFO modern metal. Freak Kitchen is a miscellaneous group, a "metal accessible to all" as I've read this week at Spirit of 66, but before all concert performers who have contact with the public unbeatable (and unmatched). Getting back to this album, Move remains one, if not THE, centerpiece of their extremely varied repertoire, a hyper dense album where nothing is to throw and where, paradoxically, each piece has its own identity. Musically, the sound is very nice, punchy, lively and yet relatively clean: no effects to the extreme, just the technique, IA (aka Mattias Eklundh) not being outdone on that side, especially when we know that it is also the singer. The atmosphere and rhythm of the pieces are often light and catchy and texts for most truculent truth (Propoganda Pie, Hateful Little People) and sprinkled with a legendary humor now part of their reputation (Porno Daddy, Nobody's Laughing). Flawless for a must-have to buy eyes closed! If you get the chance, the best is yet to discover Freak Kitchen concert, you can only be conquered.

Long live Freak Kitchen and Move!
