High BRED commercial product

What had by Aerosmith is not it all? A debut hit, a handful of dirty rock discs, world fame, drugs until you drop, band resolution, comeback - in between with Run DMC, the invention of the rap / Metal crossover. With the predecessors "Permanent Vacation" and "Pump" had already stormed the charts, they wanted to excel with "Get a Grip" yet this success. This was achieved also quite impressive. But honestly ... I've got the album on the release date and has presented a day later again. Did not I packed, the magic was gone. Even after I have Aerosmith never be able to inspire. Not that I would Tyler, Perry & Co begrudge the success, I no longer belong only to well target audience. Altfans the Scorpions know what I'm talking about.

I'll try to explain: For me, Aerosmith was always a rotzig- dirty tape. "Get a Grip" but is on the drawing board through calculated, highly bred, commercial, consuming produced album for the rock charts. The sheer number of radio-friendly ballad is hard to bear for a rocker. The rock songs are from songwriting ago okay, but act ironed ... more to the stadium than to garage. To my ears the title song and sung by Perry "Walk on down" sound best, but that was about it.

For friends of Frühneunziger- stadium rock and big rock ballads "Get a Grip" a five-star must-purchase. For fans of "Toys in the Attic" and "Rocks" rather not. "Pump" was still available for both groups, "Get a Grip" no longer. From my perspective, these are no more than three stars. Sorry.
