Good Mortal Kombat, but by no means "perfect"

The roughly 4-year-old Mortal Kombat 9 personally was the best of all time for me Beatem Up. Never me a fighting game had so cast a spell. Aside from the typical trademarks, which previously appearing as German USK version always prevented the game shine with his swift and uncompromising combat all the content that had to offer.
My expectations of Mortal Kombat X were actually surpassed only by my anticipation, and the wait was worth it despite initial disappointment! I will now discuss the most important aspects for me.

Everything about the fighters:

The disappointment mainly because some but my favorite fighter Just missing, where are sector and Cyrex, Smoke (!!!), Noob Saibot (!!!), Kabal and Baraka ?! Of course, it lacks even others, but these were all loved to play, two of them were among my Top5 :( OK, I knew that for a couple of weeks, although a shame, but not a reason to cancel MKX, who knows viellecht is indeed the one or the other at some point as DLC submitted ?! Some characters that are not playable dive after all, also in the story mode.

Altogether, there are now in the main game (aside from Goro which is available for download, but not in the German Store) 24 fighters, including some completely new. In MK9 there were at least 28 (of course without counting Kratos). The new characters are well thought out and no doubt can play all individual and unique, one or the other but I would very much like to exchange them for Smoke and Co. .. ^^ Of course, the absolutely recognizable characters like Scorpion, Sub Zero, Johnny Cage, Raiden etc. of the party, and all done with your usual Move Sets. So if thick chain combos with eg Scorpion had it, will make this quickly in MKX launched.

Also new are the three character variations which can indeed play quite differently and make different combos possible, but they are not so different to my relief, that you have to rehearse a fighter three times. I find this new feature very good and I look forward to experimenting with it. With some I have already, and I was thrilled!

Of the new fighters me now particularly like the Wild West / Ninja crossover Erron Black ingenious character with brilliant moves, in addition to Ermac and Scorpion one of my Favorites! :) Also Dvorah alone is conceptually quite a bold new fighter!

The previously unseen Fatalities are all very violent, every fighter has two of them. They are used to brutal and hard, but not in any way reudig or perverse. There are also numerous for each fighter Brutalities which can only be performed if in combat conditions have been complied with, this can be but fortunately up menu. Another pity: there is no Babalities, Animalities or even Friendship finisher.

Boss is now instead of hammer-wielding Shao Kahn the fallen God Shinnok, a really welcome comeback in my opinion! He also happens to be a playable Char, though not in its final form .. Goro is his only arcade ladder sidekick, shame at MK9 had only Shang Tsung, then Goro OR Kintaro (!!!), and then the Obermotz. I'm still secretly hoping for Motaro how cool that would be ...
Absolutely amazing, of course, the coming fighters package, with na, who already knows the Predator !!! THE HAMMER! I hope that everything will run well if it invites to an Austrian account down, then with the German games will (has there who experience the PS4? When the PS3 was yes)

Game Modes:

Firstly, there is of course the story mode. The packaging is of a cinematic story talk, after some time, I had to act together but not to the skipping cut scenes, as it (for me) but was quite uninteresting. And there are Quick Time Events, WTF! Of particular note is the German dubbing, the speakers are indeed quite passable, but partly also known voices Gesprochenes so ever does not fit just at the beginning of the story to the lip movements, I have to say that I have bad not experienced it, old Swede! After all that has playability (also thanks to beer) caused some laughs, but oh well I then recommend prefer the English sound, which, as to say ego, Mortal Kombat is not necessarily known for its breathtaking story, no reason to steer clear of it leave! ;)

There is also the number of different arcade tower variants. After a challenge storm a la MK9 unfortunately I have searched in vain, really a shame the 300 challenges that time I had many fun evenings with pals. Stattdesen there but now living towers which change your modifiers after a certain time.

The crypt is also back with this, and with it of course, in all game modes to earning Koins (hihi) to which output there for various unlocks like Fatalities, Brutalities, artwork etc. The crypt I find it very successful, also because of the beasts and the to-find items.
Online mode only I will retest if I speak little and some big drop their combos from the FF with two-three fighters do not want to be Flawless mashed into the ground. ; D King of the Hill is in any case again this is must to know that you only look at the very demanding trophies list, which luckily this time of absolutely absurd trophies as games apart with every character 24 hours. ^^

Also new is the faction system. At the very beginning to choose one of five factions, which can be changed later. It then gathers with each success points for the respective fraction, bringing this forward. What exactly brings unfortunately I do not know yet.

A bitter throwback is the lack of a co-op arcade manager, the Tagteamfunktion was removed entirely. Makes you wonder what's the point, was now and then really great time for couples to severe conduct contrary to brace themselves, now is no longer ...

Graphics and sound:

The graphics are absolutely PS4 standard, so to my mind absolutely OK. Funny then that one or other offenses such as in the Fatalities. If Sonja centrally divided into two halves, the split head also for a half ponytail, or is he still Ermac has beheaded his hood on his head. I personally find more funny than annoying. ^^ The sound is absolutely satisfactory after, at the beginning but even asked how to reproduce the sound (TV speakers, external speakers stereo or even surround sound system as in my case), I had hoped for especially impressive sound, but is also rather good standard.

Conclusion:

After initial disappointment for lack of fighters and the outrageous (great word) story mode, the game still has me very satisfied! It is through and through Mortal Kombat, and I'll have a lot of fun with it. Without PS plus, however, you do not actually get as much just because the online mode a lot of accounts with such a game, of course. For fans, the game is an absolute must for Beatem Up players in my opinion anyway. The fast, crisp, and yet concise Fights Seeking elsewhere in vain. But even beginners should not be deterred! It is very intuitive and all the combos, special skills and Fatalities can be looked up in the menu. I give 4 stars, thus my fans and for Beatem Up veteran unrestricted recommendation! Because of one or another damper unfortunately I can not give 5 stars, in addition to the graphics Mortal Kombat 9 is better.
