Customer Review

Finally I managed to move to a SSD and it is really worth. The benefits of a SSD that I liked for quite some time but were me this always too expensive. In my opinion, has made a top price-performance ratio on the legs with the 840 Evo Samsung.

Since I wanted to clean up once my system anyway, I thought it would be worth the system completely themself. So bootable stick with OS X Mavericks created (there are plenty of instructions on the Internet). old HDD out and replaced by new SSD (if you do not 2 left hands, absolutely no problem), system filled with new and all my personal data, I simply pushed via external case of my old HDD to my new system. The result is a complete A clean and damn fast system.

I could see the benefits over the old HDD:

- The MacBook is much quieter (even if it was previously silent, yet it falls surprisingly strong on)
- The MacBook is lighter, but not very much noticeable. (The weight difference is noticeable when replacing the plates)
- The system feels much faster, one could almost feel the MacBook could now only develop its performance and was greatly slowed down by the old HDD. Alone the startup / restart of the MacBook is much faster and programs are now open after the start.
-Vorher Had from and belongs to a clacking of the hard disk if you have moved the MacBook faster or has something off abruptly, this falls conveniently, also gone. The notebook is also shock-sensitive as before.
- Apparently, the system also needs less battery, but here I can not feel any positive impressions, but no negatives. In my opinion, also difficult to determine because a brighter backlight, the term probably influenced more like a hard drive.

Even a few words about my decision why I chose the 500GB version, at first I was thinking on my drive to replace by a 250GB SSD, but I would still be needed for a frame and an external enclosure for my drive (costs about 40) and I would have made a lot of benefits of a SSD in a notebook to niece. Thus prefer to invest a little more and have your rest with slow old HDDs. The old HDD you can still use it as an external drive.

In the end there is of me just buy it because a SSD offers only advantages and Samsung is on its feet with the Evo a really great price / performance ratio.

Shipping was used Amazon, quickly and smoothly.

Hope I could facilitate the decision even if the recession is something you hereby advised long, but the product really convinced me.
