With a firmware update / BIOS Version 5.2.0 Build 19109 from 21.12.2012 these controllers is now available UEFI compatible. There is information to and update the firmware on the Adaptec website.
I had bought the controller last summer for my standard BIOS system and am very happy with it, but had then found later that he is non-UEFI. Wanted to sell him again because he therefore was not suitable for newer systems or a system upgrade therefore actually. This is now no longer so, Adaptec has improved.
