To use this box you have to set a common 68mm cavity wall box, and these best back completely cut free so that the cable can be laid properly. The HDMI socket is primarily intended for lightweight walls, with the solid walls should get the first problems with the stowing of the HDMI cable. It takes in the wall Ideally, up to 15cm space for cans cable and HDMI-feeder. To about 5 cm in depth and sit wenns really good about 10cm to the side. The socket can be to install the wallbox, easily attach with the supplied screws. There are also all cases 5 Stars!
Since I wanted to accommodate the can in a standard 3-dose coverage my Gira System 55, I have just the middle part of the HDMI socket (just clipped) taken out and those with some hot glue in the Gira socket (incl. Mini Adapter ) are used. Fits like a glove and the color fits perfectly with Giras Pure white / shiny. Had me there but want an easier solution, but then there are 2 star deduction.
The plug is how the can, well made, especially for the price !!!
Overall, I rate the HDMI socket very positive, because you get more favorable alternative on the market and it is the purpose of your perfect.
