Please no more of it!

"Movies with game elements" already existed, often this also works perfectly (Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, ...). But in 1886 came the full in the pants. I have a feeling one has ever developed on the graphic and the setting and then at some point to remember: "Oh, we have forgotten the real game." Then briefly a few inappropriate QuickTime Events in and a few completely failed shooter elements and get to market with it. Oh, for a clever end of history it has naturally not been enough.

So really bad I find the shooter elements. Opponents prancing back and forth to avoid being caught, werewolves attack times of the left then back right to (wow, how resourceful!). On the whole, totally unloving and actually just annoying. It could hardly be worse.
The QuickTime events, however, are tolerable, but act partly placed.
The distributed throughout the levels "collectibles" such. As newspapers and photos, are completely meaningless for the story. Only interesting (or necessary) for platinum-trophy hunters.

Positives:
- Graphics (Yes that is truly outstanding, for me, however, priority is one game more, and is missing here completely)
- Setting and atmosphere well done
- Good German synchronization
- No micro-transactions, no Season Pass, so no additional rip-off.

Negatives:
- Story just ok, the end is not satisfactory. Could also no emotion to the characters build.
- Game elements disastrous (totally loveless shooter elements)
- Collectibles, unless you are totally useless on trophies.
- No replay value.

I'm glad that I have pre-ordered the game on 1 year ago in a Kauf3Zahl2 action for effectively 40 euros, more is not worth it in my opinion, absolutely.
