As a material art Suede is indicated, but I would rather call it textile material, similar as it is known from bags or backpacks ago, definitely makes an insensitive impression.
The iPad 2/3 of fits in perfectly and is fixed by 4 plastic corners that keep it firmly in place, slips or because nothing wobbles. It can be removed from the 'death grip' well again. Thus, the device is all around well protected and kept safe. The buttons are all easily accessible and the hole for the camera is large and attached to the appropriate place. The inside of the bag is turquoise blue and feels like a mix of plastic and velvet. It is closed by means of elastic.
When the iPad 2 case has a AutoWake function, with which I had not counted on even when opening and closing. When "new iPad" is there doing nothing, however.
Front is a practical, pretty spacious bag that closes with Velcro. In it you can store small things such as headphones, notes or a cleaning cloth.
What I did not like so much in this model is the set-up function. I have another bag from Belkin (Belkin Cinema Leather Folio Case), when this is better resolved and thus is also my favorite and remains. I read a lot, it is important to me that the iPad is sure that is in this case here is not really the case.
Otherwise, the case is however recommended that the color is a matter of taste and is more likely to appeal to the female group.
