I bought this laptop as a replacement for a small netbook. On the whole I am satisfied with this device. Everything is going so far fluently without stuttering and dropouts. Certainly, these are not, in any device that a hard-core gamer wants because no dedicated graphics is installed. However, the performance is sufficient for office work, Internet, mail and imaging. Also a thing or two older game runs smoothly.
But first times criticism of Amazon! In the technical data indicates that just a dedicated graphics card NVIDIA GT710M is fitted with 2 GB of graphics memory. It surprised me that Amazon makes such a mistake. Similarly, the battery only has a capacity of 4150mAh and 4400mAh just not on! If one wants to appear as Number 1 seller, so should tackle at least match the description of the product. Here, then, Amazon zero points!
Back to the unit:
The Pros
+ Matt display a relief after all the make-up mirror
+ Good processor a workhorse halt
+ Very quiet and the optical drive is not loud
+ Good cooling is only to the area of the touchpad a little warm
+ Easy access to memory, wireless module and hard drive
+ Optical drive can be upgraded, thus here via an adapter a 2nd HDD to be installed
+ No tile collection (Win8)
Not laugh + two speakers, but there are particularly in this area devices with just one!
+ Two memory slots and one is still free :-) - even that is not Selbstvertändlichkeit
+ Large and fast hard disk
Neutral
In this device, the chipset HM70 is installed. As I could read on the internet, come here to strange effects, if the Pentium processor is replaced with a i3 or i5. Obviously here INTEL built a persuader who sends the device after 30 minutes running time to the shutdown. Thus with a HM70 chipset only Celerons and Pentiums running to Ivy Bridge.
Keyboard flexes while writing easily, but is sufficiently large. The keystroke is a bit hard and not very quiet.
Touchpad could be a little bigger, but responding spontaneously and not nervous.
Battery life is satisfactory, but could be better.
The Cons
- No USB 3 which is a bit surprising, since the chipset would give forth
- No Bluetooth has been upgraded with a USB BT, but this USB port is
- No processor upgrade for the HM70 chipset possible
- No LEDs for CapsLock and NumLock
- Alibi operating system I am quite clear that this price level can only be reached with a Linux OS, but here one would prefer to with a graphical interface. Even Ubuntu / K-Ubuntu is free.
- Extremely crippled cursor keys thinks very small
To help the rather parlous state of speakers a little on the jumps, the Realtek driver should be uninstalled and the computer to be restarted. After restarting Windows detects a new device and integrates the Windows driver. After that, the sound is at least twice as loud. Who wants basses, should rather put on external speakers.
Miracles do I have when I read all the criticism that there is no Windows is installed. Who ordered a computer with Linux, so should not be surprised if he gets a running Linux. An operating system so you should already be able to install ...
