My experience with the curling iron:
Since I am very happy with my (3 years old) straighteners from Remington, I also wanted a curling iron that mark. The price of this is hard to beat, so I ordered it to me. The first impression when Unboxing: Nice thing is, well in hand, the cable is long enough. On the plus side is the small "stand", as you so no heat-resistant extra underlay needed (such as when my straighteners). This stand, not all curling irons! Also, the coating seems to make a good impression, it looks high. It is also a light indicator available, ie it will blink when the bar heats up and glows steady when the rod is heated. I speak from experience when I recommend here to really wait until the heating process is completed.
Very negative is the temperature control. This is implemented by a small cog, so you have to try around first, until you find the right temperature for themselves. I find here Remington has failed - an LED display would surely have been there too. This point is really serious, because how do you know that you have not adjusted the temperature during use by mistake?
Due to this lack of temperature control, it struck me at first very difficult to find the right temperature. After some time I had it then. I think the curls last longer if you make the bar a little hotter and for shorter stops (10 seconds).
I must admit that my hair stunk burned after the first time, and for a whole week (I wash my hair every day). A friend who had the same crew, had the same problem. She has returned to the bar again. However, I have a maintenance oil as the cause is suspected. I have not used the oil for several days and made me re-locks and then did not have the problem. Sure I'm not in this assumption, I'll continue to monitor. Maybe I have the rod held on my hair too long. Would also be interesting at this point, if anyone has the same problem !?
My Conclusion:
The price-performance ratio. The staff makes curls, but has a poor temperature control. It all goes very quickly, because the bar heats up quickly. Damaged my hair is not the way.
