- Bose SoundLink 2
- Philips Fidelio P8
- Samsung DA-F60 / EN
- Sony SRS-BTX300B
- TDK A33
The units of Philips and Sony have reached me first, so we went directly to the testing laboratory (my living room). First of all I was really amazed at how much bass but can come from such a small device. The applications I had completely underestimated, because suddenly I can listen to music anytime, anywhere. The morning was going on in the bathroom, etc. look at the cook, in the park, in the bathtub, connect the laptop to the serial pp. Really a great invention, I must say.
I would describe myself in sound quite as very demanding so I have heard on both devices by different titles. The Philips told me then fallen sometime better than the Sony, so I focused on this. Next, the Bose SoundLink arrived 2. Also a good device, fine processing, cool design. However, it's at the end but the sound that counts and as Philips and Bose suffer for me also to similar problems: too concise bass and weak midrange. Because in my opinion, in the middle of the actual "life" (= events) in the music plays a quite important negative point. Between Bose and Bose Philips Speaker has then made the race.
Next, finally came the Samsung DA-F60 / EN and finally the TDK. The Samsung flew out fairly quickly, since it quickly to unwanted hum / vibration at certain frequencies between 100 Hz - 500 Hz was - for me a no go. At the TDK I had very high expectations because it was said several times he had the most natural, most balanced sound in participants. The centers were actually better than the other devices, but significantly weaker (to bear) the bass and it has the sound, unfortunately, completely lack of volume and spaciousness. Really a pity, as the Bose Speaker had just a lot more to offer. In addition, the TDK is also extremely danced across the table (I did luckily before) - sometimes not paying attention briefly (really just a matter of half a minute), and the thing moves 20 cm above the table, and at worst also beyond it.
In the end, then, was to be the Bose at the top of the podium and I thought I would be satisfied with. However, always remained the uncomfortable feeling the music in order to "deface" - too much bass, too weak middle - and thus the satisfaction was only at 70% and not 100%. Luckily I still have, I believe in Oluv blog (thanks for that), read by the Loewe Speaker 2go and also wanted this still a chance. Direct purchases and unfortunately have to wait two weeks, the unit came Saturday before last (13.07.2013) with me. Processing Top Design prima - on the inner values. That's where the Loewe makes me a lot right, what others have often done wrong: the sound was remarkably harmonious throughout the test field at the most balanced /. No question, the bass is not quite as (at) present as with Bose and he is also "only" to 80 Hz down, but the centers get much better and more homogeneous over. It's great fun with the device to listen to music, there is no clatter, vibrations or similar, the maximum volume, I feel more than adequate, only about the endurance of the batteries I can make no statement. Also technically, the device with NFC and apt-X codec State of the Art. The integrated speakerphone unfortunately I could not test and also doubt that I will use this too often, but a nice gimmick that is certainly for one or the others also. The radiation I find something better than the Bose Speaker, but it is still away from the real optimum one piece. If you move too far from the emission cone out to dominate the bass, treble and midrange go audibly under.
Two things struck me:
- For operation via Bluetooth (HTC One) I experienced the ups occasionally be minimal too spicy, with operation via laptop (jack cable) did not come before that. However, this can also be the HTC One and the Beats Audio feature lie. Here I just have to play around a bit more on the equalizer, because I'm pretty sure there is no problem of Speakers.
- When a title (Major Lazer - You're No Good) when buckled the bass drum came into play, the middle and the voices slightly a (= were quieter). But that is so far the only title in the me that's noticed, so I will analyze here even know if it is the title itself, or at least at the Speaker.
Overall, I'm with the device but actually very satisfied (90%) and will continue to test and update both positive as well as negative experiences here. According to current state I can Loewe Speaker 2go but really recommend, because I think a lot more is simply not get out of a device of this size. But just when you value more bass and is ready for it should take some compromise to pick up the Bose.
Conclusion: 4.5 / 5
