Unsung Heroes (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Unfortunately, I must add my voice to the critical voices to this album. Also, I have closed the previous albums just because of the incredible energy in the songs and the balance between melody and hardness to the heart. The song material on these masterpieces crack easily with consistently and had enormous potential earworm. Of these trademarks of the band can be heard on the new album, unfortunately, not so much. Were the previous albums riddled with metal hits that went into his ear and stayed there, go with me only the tracks "In My Sword I Trust" and "Burning Leaves" (reminiscent of Amorphis) as hits by otherwise have the pieces hardly catchy quality, although they are of course technically very well done and full of atmosphere and have an increased folk share. There is also with "Celestial Bond", "Star Queen" and "Last Breath" clearly too many pieces ballad on the album. While the 16-minute track "Passion Proof Power" offers beautiful vocal lines a soprano, but much confused, too protracted and without thread, here the band in my opinion has completely bogged down. The bonus track of the Limited Edition, a cover version of the Gypsy Kings classic "Bamboleo", on the other hand I find very original and snappy. The bonus DVD with the making off of the album and the video diary is my opinion, however rather dispensable.

Conclusion: If you want to get to know the band, should first take up all very successful previous albums before this album leads to heart. Fans, who were on the previous style of the band should listen before buying sample, if they do not want to be disappointed.
