Now I've also the end of 2008 these WinTV-NOVA-TD Stick for my little Akoya E1210 bought mini notebook. (Intel Atom CPU, Win XP Home)
Although printed on the package minimum requirement is not met by my hardware, the software runs smoothly and makes me satisfied so far.
There are of this stick in the trade sometimes even an older version, the (opposite the USB connector) has a conventional antenna connector on the side. My newer version, the 2 smaller plug side by side on the longer side of the USB drive and also has 2 antennas with magnetic base which can also bend. There is also an adapter if you you want to see the programs from the rooftop antenna to "split up" these little on the 2 connectors. But I have never used.
Here where I live, the supply is gorgeous. DVB-T television stations and radio programs to the hilt.
The WinTV software, fortunately still version 6, has the same flaws that it has been around for many years. But in order to get clear and both prestige, switching, let alone recording function smoothly.
What quirks I mean? Sort TV channels, teletext not at your fingertips, EPS virtually unusable. I did with my satellite version on my PC just great.
But still better than the latest version 7, the longer it will take for my personal feeling for switching and is missing the most important feature for me: The right mouse click, with which I can push the window without operating times quickly scaled up right back in order while television further email or edit something.
On the way, it is a bit annoying with the 2 antennas. As a short-attachable antenna would naturally practical. But that would just not the diversity reception to compensate for weak signals.
The reception is by antennas 2 very good and far better than my portable Mustek DVD / DVB-T 8 "device. The software is useful and you can record at your fingertips.
Schedule recordings or delayed reputation I do not need, even on the big computer with the PCI card. Furthermore, I can not evaluate accordingly.
I would recommend using the WinTV-NOVA-TD-Stick after several months. He does what he should, and the good.
PS
My user name might suggest, I had something to do with the competing product. Is purely coincidental and entirely independent of products eponymous series that I will not buy after a brief test several months ago and quickly return initially ;-)
