The TZ10 makes for very good light little sharper photos without a doubt.
For the TZ10 fails in low light. Here is the Sony, despite the loss of details and structures, much better.
The Sony is much more contrast in Telebreich and also in Telebreich richer colors. (S. My uploaded Montblanc image)

Panorama function in the TZ10 = Stone Age .. The high-resolution panoramic HX9V is a stunner incredibly well.
GPS tie, the TZ10 function with the database of the sights will miss something.

As these small Super Zoomer supplemented my DSLR, it should be able to cover as much as possible situations. I have this camera wherever you go.
Since Sony is very good. The TZ10 I could not use when shooting with low light.
What could be better in the Sony: Speed in the switch Photo / view (for that I must not use switch as the TZ10 ... how many times I have snapshots in TZ10 missed simply because the switch was not on record.
Who does not need the telephoto Nikon P300 should look which is even better in low light. This camera should I use for low light situations where you can not use DSLR. The P300 is also super fast.
But all cameras replace any DSLR. To a full-frame sensor it does not come on. For the presentation of images on the screen or large HD TV but they are sufficient. Often you can then see no difference for DSLR.
