***** Purpose:
We had actually bought this box to hear in kitchen, bathroom, terrace, winter garden and recently also in the caravan now and then a little music. I think that's the goal of the Creative D200. To provide sound, the kitchen or a small room in (even increased) low volume, the box is always enough. Certainly, this 60-unit replace professional hi-fi system. Our living room system (Yamaha, Bose, Klipsch) also costs several thousand euros.
***** Optics / haptics
The box is heavier than expected, but looks for it (again in relation to the price) very high. It is meticulously crafted, some with matt black plastic, some with plastic in piano black finish.
Schön is the simple design: at the front there is nothing other than the speaker grille back you can see the output of the woofer, next to the connection for power or AUX input (jack). In addition you will find here the on / off switch. On the top three discreet buttons: Bluetooth, louder, quieter. Finally, a box without unnecessary bells and whistles, the optically also fits well into the apartment.
***** Setup / Operation
Setting the box is so simple that it certainly gets the absolute layman back. Pairing Iphone, Galaxy Tab and Tab Windows managed my (relatively technically disinterested) woman alone in 1 min. It is also very easy: Box switch, Bluetooth pressing a few seconds looking at the smartphone Bluetooth devices and select the Creative D200. Done.
We tested the box thoroughly. Disconnections never came before. When I put the box in the second floor and go to the basement then travels from the connection finally times. But that's a technical and physical certainty and no criticism.
***** Sound quality
Whoever rated this a star, I can not really take it seriously. What do you expect? When you buy a Fiat does not complain but also that it is not a Ferrari. If you compare this Creative Box from the sound with a high-quality hi-fi system, who has not understood the meaning of this box or want to share only his pseudo-knowledge the world easily.
To provide sound small rooms, and this box is perfectly good room volume. In this case, it provides a very wide frequency spectrum. Both heights and depths come through well. The bass pressure is in the light of the size of the box very well.
The church in the village? And this box is certainly not meant to replace the hi-fi sound for a party or to which one should nevertheless remember if only because the price and size. Who criticized here, it just did not understand himself.
***** Comparison with other boxes:
We have a lot of testing in advance of very cheap (10) to 120: In the price range of less than 100, there is nothing better in my opinion. Sure, there are eg Sonos Play 3 or Bose SoundLink II in similar size. These provide an even richer and better sound. But they cost almost 300, thus 5 times the Creative D200 respectively. Therefore, a comparison is a little.
Conclusion:
Anyone looking for a box for kitchen, bathroom, hobby, garden or camping, which I can highly recommend.
